Perform Inline Inspections When Executing Production at a Workstation

Welcome to the demo of the 24D feature, perform inline inspections when executing production at a workstation. With this feature, production operators can record inspection results against the inspection characteristics for the samples prescribed in the inspection plan. They can do this inline while executing work order operations at a workstation.

Inspection results are automatically used to transact quantities as completed or rejected. This ensures that production operators stay compliant while building finished goods of the highest quality. This also eliminates the need to record quality inspection results in other systems or paper records.

Now let's look at a short demo for this feature. I would launch the execute production at a workstation task, select and check in to a workstation, scan or enter a work order and select the operation to be executed, view the operation details and the quality inspection plan details, start the work order operation execution. When ready, enter quantities to inspect and complete, enter the results for the inspection characteristics, and then, view the inspection results along with the updated production summary.

I am navigating to the work execution work area in supply chain execution. I launched the task execute production at a workstation. The workstation is already selected for me from previous executions. I check in to the workstation.

I select the work order that I am going to execute. I'm looking at the work order operation details, and notice that there is a quality inspection plan associated with it. I look at the quality inspection plan details and then start execution.

Now, I'm ready to report some quantities. I enter the quantities and click on inspect and complete. Based on the inspection level defined in the inspection plan, I would be required to enter the results for a determined number of samples. Here, the inspection level is 100%, and hence I am entering inspection results for two samples.

Also, in our demo scenario, the target value is defaulted as the result value. This parameter can be controlled in the inspection plan controls. After entering all the results, I click on submit. We can notice that one of the sample was accepted, the other one was rejected. These are automatically transacted as completion and rejection transactions.

To know more about performing quality inspections in work execution, refer to the feature description and demo of the following. The 24C feature perform quality inspections using the Redwood experience. The 24D feature complete work order operations with details at workstations. And the 24D feature Redwood, Search for, Create, and View Inspections in the work execution work area using a new experience. This concludes the demo for this feature. Thank you.
