Approve Customer Manual Adjustments with BPM Workflow

This demo will show you how you can set up and approve manual adjustments using BPM Workflow. The first part of the demo will show you how to set up the approval rule. Login as the implementation user who can enable feature opt-ins. Select the Order Management offering and Channel Revenue Management functional area.

Click the Actions icon and select Change Feature Selection. Enable the Approved Customer Manual Adjustments with BPM Workflow feature. Click Done to save your changes. Select the customer's functional area. Select All Tasks in the Show Dropdown. Select the Manage Task Configurations for Supply Chain Management task.

Search for the channel approval tasks. The search is case-sensitive. Select the Channel Customer Manual Adjustments Approval task. Minimize the left pane. Select the Assignees tab. Click the participant type. Click Simple Rule. I have already created two approval rules that apply to manual adjustments.

The first approval rule requires one supervisor level of approval if the adjustment amount is same or less than 1,000. The second approval rule requires two supervisor levels of approval if the adjustment amount is more than 1,000. This concludes the demo for the setup of Approved Customer Manual Adjustments with BPM Workflow.

The second part of the demo will show you how the approvers can review and approve the manual adjustments. In the demo, Parker Klein submits the manual adjustment. Since the adjustment amount is more than 1,000, it requires two levels of approvals. Approval from Sydney Mack and Kellen Hale in serial order.

Log in as Parker Klein, the user who will create and submit the manual adjustment. Click Order Management. Click Customer Channel Management. Select Programs. I have already created a program for Seven corporation. Drill into this program. Select the Adjustments tab to view the adjustments for the program. I have already created a manual adjustment in draft status.

Drill into the adjustment. View the adjustment details. The adjustment amount is $1,100. I have reviewed the manual adjustment and am ready to submit it. Upon submission, the adjustment is routed to the approvers based on the approval rules set up in BPM. The adjustment amount is more than $1,000, hence it requires two levels of approvals.

Submit the adjustment. The manual adjustment has been submitted for approval and is in approval pending status. Log in as the user who has access to the Transaction Console. The Transaction Console allows the rule administrators to monitor approval submission transactions. Click the Navigator menu. Select the Tools group. Select Transaction Console.

Remove the failed filter as we are interested in the new transactions. Select Hide Filters. Click the Refresh icon to get the latest update. Drill into our manual adjustment approval transaction. The manual adjustment approval has been assigned to Parker's supervisor, Sydney Mack. After Sydney's approval, the approval will be routed to her supervisor, Kellen Hale.

Based on the approval rule, the approval notification is routed to Parker's supervisor, Sydney. The notification is also sent as an email to Sydney. The approver can view the manual adjustment details and can approve the request by clicking the Approve link in the email notification. The notification also shows the approval history.

Log in as Sydney Mack. Click the bell notification icon. View the approval notification request from Parker. Drill into the notification. View the key details of the manual adjustment in the approval notification, including the approval history. The approver can add comments and attach documents that can be viewed by the subsequent approvers.

The approver can view all the manual adjustment details by drilling into the manual adjustment via the View Details link. View the manual adjustment details. Close the manual adjustment page to return to the notification detail. The approver Sydney Mack can add comments and attach documents that can be viewed by the subsequent approvers.

The approver has reviewed the manual adjustment details and submits her approval by clicking the Approve button. Sydney signs out of the application. The approval has been routed to Sydney's supervisor, Kellen Hale. Kellen Hale logs into the application and selects the Navigator menu. Select the Tools group. Select Approvals.

Instead of the work list approvals and notifications work area, you can use the approvals work area, which provides an enhanced user interface and adaptive search functionality. Tasks can be filtered by approval type, task type, or sender, or be searched by keyword. The approvals tasks page shows a list of the tasks assigned to the current user, including business attributes depending on approval type.

You can organize your work using supplied filters, search on keywords, and approve or reject approvals. Search for approval tasks with Seven in the title of the notification. Drill into the notification for the manual adjustment. The approver can view the notification details using View More Details button. Sydney submits his approval by selecting the Approve button.

Select Cancel to return to the approval tasks page. Select Approval Status and History. The Approval Status and History page shows the current status and assignee for approvals that you've either submitted or been in approver for. Use the supplied filters and search by keyword to find historic approval information.

Return to the Approvals Tasks page. Kellen Hale is the last approver for this manual adjustment. The manual adjustment has been approved. Kellen signs out of the application. The adjustment submitter, Parker Klein receives an email notification when the approval process has completed.

This is an FYI notification. The email notification indicates the adjustment approval along with the approval history. Parker logs into the application to view the submitted manual adjustment. Select the bell icon. Parker views the notification indicating that the manual adjustment has been approved. Parker will check the status of the manual adjustment. Select Order Management.

Select Customer Channel Management. Select Programs. Drill into the program. Select the Adjustments tab. The manual adjustment is in complete status.
