Redwood: Enable Deferred Electronic Record and Electronic Signature for Manufacturing Work Definitions Using the Redwood User Experience
Welcome to the demo of the 25B feature, Redwood: Enabled Deferred Electronic Record and Electronic Signature for Manufacturing Work Definitions using the Redwood user experience in Oracle Fusion Cloud Manufacturing.
With this feature, you can now approve a manufacturing work definition version by reviewing its electronic record and capturing electronic signature, using the Redwood User Experience. Work definition approval using electronic record and electronic signature enforces final sign off to ensure a proper stage gate before release to work execution, planning, and cost planning.
Now, let's walk through a short demo of this feature. First, manufacturing engineer will create work definition in draft status in the Manage Work Definitions Task in the Work Definition Work Area. Manufacturing engineer will then save and submit the work definition for electronic signature approval. As a result, the work definition, status changes to pending approval, and an approval required notification is sent to production supervisor.
Next, production supervisor will click the notification to open the electronic signature approval window, review the work definition electronic record, and perform single sign on for electronic signature approval. Finally, manufacturing engineer gets notified about the approval received and views the work definition status as updated to approved.
With this, let's get into the demo. Here is the data that we would be using in the demo. The work definition is to manufacture a laptop. Given are the operations, items, and resource for laptop production. Now, let's go to the demo. Sign in to the application as manufacturing engineer.
Click supply chain execution and then work definition. Work Definition, Work Area landing page is displayed. Click on the Task, Manufacturing Work Definitions under Actions. Work definitions page is displayed. Click Create Work Definition.
To create work definition, enter the work method, product, structure name, work definition, name, production priority, and click Create. The Work Definition Operations tab is displayed. Sign into the application as production supervisor. Click on the notifications bell icon at the top right side of the application. The notification list is displayed. The notification prompts the production supervisor to perform electronic signature approval for the work definition submitted by the manufacturing engineer.
Click on the notification link. The work definition electronic signature approval window opens up. Click on the electronic PDF document to review. Review the work definition header. Review the work definition operation and assigned items. Review the assigned operation resource and other operations.
Select the checkbox to indicate the electronic record has been reviewed. Click on the Approve button. The Oracle Access Manager window opens up. Sign in as production supervisor for electronic signature approval. On successful sign in, the electronic approval window gets closed automatically.
Notice, the approval notification gets removed from the notification list. Sign out of the application. Now, sign into the application as manufacturing engineer. Click on the notifications bell icon at the top right side of the application. The notification list is displayed.
Manufacturing engineer is notified of the approval of the work definition. Now, navigate to Work Definition Work Area under Supply Chain Execution. Click on the Manage Work Definitions Task. Search for the work definition submitted for approval.

You can create and submit the work definition for electronic signature approval. Notification for electronic signature approval required is sent to approvers. Approvers can review the work definition electronic record, and perform single sign on to provide their electronic signature to approve or reject.
As a result, the work definition status changes to approved or draft based on the electronic signature approval or rejection. This concludes the demo of this feature. Thanks for watching.
