Explore the New Visual Builder Studio Business Rules in the Benefits Enrollment Page
Hello, and welcome to this 25B demonstration of Oracle Cloud Self-Service Benefits Enrollment Page Business Rules. With these new features you will be able to use visual builder studio to control or extend the pages behavior using page properties. Businesses need greater flexibility and control over the benefits self-service experience to improve clarity, and drive employee engagement. The new business rules are designed to help streamline and optimize user experience across benefit pages. These enhancements provide greater flexibility and improved functionality.
During this demonstration I will teach you how visual builder studio can help you personalize the self-service benefits enrollment page by:
- Hiding the post enrollment region,
- Modify or remove the Need Help/Contact Us regions,
- Hide the view report button,
- Show dependent and beneficiary person number,
- Show the total cost region for flex programs,
- Show the event name on program or plan cards,
- And add a journey to the plan type grouping.
I will be making changes on the self-service’s benefits enrollment page, so I will navigate to me, then benefits. I will click on the enrollment button.
To enter visual builder studio, I will go to settings and actions. And then select Edit page in visual builder studio. Once the visual builder studio page opens, I will verify I am in the express mode.
Let’s start by hiding the post enrollment steps. In the page properties area I will scroll down until I see the hide post enrollment steps attribute. I will change the false value to true. I can see all of the post enrollment steps are now hidden. The steps remain hidden even if there are pending actions for the employee. Now let’s look how to hide or modify the Need Help? Contact Us area.
This area is delivered enabled and uses the areas of responsibility benefits representative information. To hide the need help contact us area, in the page properties area, scroll down until you see the show need help regions attribute, changing the true value to false. I can now see that the need help, contact us has been removed.
To custom go back to page properties, locate the show custom need help attribute change the false value to true. I can now see the delivered text for the title and the information’s text. To customize the title go back to page properties, locate the custom need help title attribute and type in your title such as Benefits Questions? I can now see that change.
To adjust or add text, locate the custom need help default text here you can just enter text, or you can use html code.
I will copy in some text, when I tab out, I will see the change.
You can also add a journey for more detailed information using the custom need help journey task code or the custom need help journey code. Simply paste in your journey code, I tab out I will see the hyperlinks for the journeys. To test the journey, I will go up to the preview’s icon, this will open up a new browser window. Once the preview page opens verify clicking on your journey hyper-link opens a drawer and the information displayed is correct.
Once you have completed all of your testing, return to the visual builder studio edit page, you can publish these changes, or you can continue to make page updates.
Now let’s look at the new features you can enable in enroll in benefits that matter you. In page properties I will see the five new attributes that have been added.
The show dependent and beneficiary person number on enrollment journey. The show total cost region for flex programs on enrollment journey. Show life event name on program card. Show unrestricted event name on program card. And hide view report button on the view enrollments.
Let’s change all of the false values to true. To see these changes, I will go up to the preview icon, which will open up a new browser window. Once the preview page opens, I will the expand enroll in benefits that matter to you.
I can see the unrestricted event name listed in the plan card and I can see that the life event name has been added to the program card.
Clicking on the view enrollments button will open up my enrollment’s drawer. I can see the view report button has been removed, I see that the total cost per pay period region has been added for my flex program. If I scroll down, I can see the person number has been added for designated dependents. Once testing has been completed return to the visual builder studio edit page and publish or continue to make updates to your page.
The last two features are performed in the enrollment guided process. To navigate to the enrollment guided process within visual builder studio go to filters and enter enroll, select enrollment cgp.
Once the page opens, in the page properties. You will see the new attribute for show total cost region for flex program on the enrollment guided process. And also set journey codes for plan type groupings.
To enable the show total cost region for flex programs, change the false value to true.
To add a journey code to a plan type grouping, click on the plus icon, then select the more properties icon.
Here I will enter in a category code, this field is mandatory. And you will enter your plan type grouping train stop number, example TS1, TS2 up to TS18. You can locate the plan type grouping category code in the benefits setup diagnostic report. I will in enter TS10.
You can enter a journey code or a task code. I will enter in a journey code. Once I’ve completed, I will click on back button. To test the changes, I go up to the filters dropdown and enter the self-service enrollment page, and then click on the preview icon, which will open up a new browser window. Once the preview page opens, I will expand the enroll in benefits that matter to you. I will Click on the edit button.
To verify the new journey I will click on the plan type grouping that I entered in the category code for. I can see the hyperlinks for my journeys. I can click on one of the hyper-links verifying that a drawer opens with the information.
If I close my drawer and navigate to review and submit, I will see the total cost per pay period region has been added for my flex program. Once testing is completed return to the visual builder studio edit page and click on the publish button. This concludes this demonstration. Thank you for watching.
