Redwood: Report Material Transactions in a Warehouse Management System Enabled Organization and View Reservations
Welcome to the demo of the 25C feature Redwood Report Material Transactions in a Warehouse Management System-Enabled Organization and View Reservations.
Customers often integrate work order transactions with an external warehouse management system, or Oracle Fusion Cloud Warehouse Management, that is, WMS. Release 24D feature integrate manufacturing and maintenance direct work order transactions with your warehouse management system provided services, and core application enhancements to support integrations work order transactions with an external WMS system, or Oracle Fusion Cloud WMS.
With this enhancement, you can now issue materials and provide the packing unit details during product completion transactions in manufacturing using a Redwood page. You can also use descriptive flexfields during materials issue and product completion transactions in the Redwood pages.
If the work order input materials are reserved, then you can use the view link against the item to see the reservation detail for the item when performing material transactions from the report material transaction Redwood page, or the operator Workbench.
This demo shows you how Redwood report material transactions in a warehouse management system-enabled organization and view reservations enhances your business. In this demo, reservations for the work order input materials are already created. We'll review the work order and input material reservation details.
Then during material issue, we'll see how you can view the input material reservation details, and how you can capture descriptive flexfield details. And then during product completion, we'll see how you can capture packing unit and descriptive flexfield details for the product.
We are in the Redwood Work Execution Overview page. Click on the New Work Order task. We are in the Redwood Work Order page. Discrete Work Order 1202 for lot enabled-product MFG-LOT-PROD1 has been created. Let us quickly review the work order details.
Work order is in Released status and is for three quantity. You can see the other details of the work order, like work definition name and completion, subinventory, et cetera. The work order has one operation. It has two input materials: lot-enabled item MFG-LOT-COMP1 and serial-enabled item MFG-SER-COMP1. It has one resource.
Using the reserve materials manually function, user can reserve materials for the Work Order and View Reservation details. You can see that reservations have been created for both the input materials. To view more about the reservation details, you have to click on View Reservation Details from Actions. You can see that lot RS010601 has been reserved for lot-enabled item MFG-LOT-COMP1. Similarly, we can view reservation for other materials also.
Next, we'll issue input materials to work order operation. Click on the Execute Productions on a Workstation task. After checking in at the workstation, select the work order 1202 from the list. You can see Work Order Operation details here. Click on Start.
You can report exceptions, issue materials, and perform operation completion from here. Click on Report Materials to issue input materials to the operation. You have to issue three quantity of both lot-enabled item MFG-LOT-COMP1 and serial-enabled item MFG-SER-COMP-1. You can view the reservations created for these input materials by clicking on the View link.
For lot-enabled item MFG-LOT-COMP1, you can see that lot RS010601 has been reserved. We viewed these details from work order. Now, while issuing materials, user can see the reservation details. Similarly, for the serial-enabled item MFG-SER-COMP1, you can see the serial number reserved for the work order operation.
Now, let us provide the lot and serial details for the input materials. While issuing input materials, you can key in the additional information also. Let us submit the transaction. The transaction is successful. Let us now a report operation completion for three quantity. In inventory for lot-enabled product MFG-LOT-PROD1, you have to provide the lot number.
Since this organization is integrated with warehouse management system, user must provide packing unit details for the product. You can capture descriptive flexfield to capture more details for the product. Let's submit the transaction. The transaction has been successfully completed. This concludes the feature demo.
