Compare Items
Today, I will be going over the new feature of comparing items. In this feature, users will be able to use the Redwood Experience to compare item information. The user will be able to select up to five items to compare. This feature will increase efficiency by providing quick access to relevant attributes for each item.
Through this feature, the user will be able to get a focused view of attributes when the user compares the selected items. It will also be easier to understand the differences between the items due to the visual highlights in the table. I will now be going into the demo.
In this feature, the user will be able to use the Redwood Experience to compare item information like item operational attributes, extended attributes, relationships, and categories. To access this page, click the Actions panel on the Product Management page by selecting View All Actions. From here, scroll down to Items and Documents.
Below Items and Documents, click on Compare Items. In the Compare Items drawer, the user can select the items they want to compare. The user will be able to select up to five items. Once the user has selected the items, the next step is to click the Compare button on the bottom right side of the screen.
By clicking this button, the results will be displayed in a tabular grid layout. The differences between the items will be highlighted as shown here.
You can also click on the Differences button in the top right corner of the screen. This will show the attributes that are different amongst the items while also highlighting them.
From this table, the user can click the Add icon to add or remove items for comparison. The user can change the comparison attributes by selecting a different view, which is next to the Add icon. The user will also be able to download the results by clicking the Download icon on the right side of the page. This will export the results as an Excel spreadsheet.
Once you're done with comparing your items, you can click the Close button on the top right-hand of the screen. Today, I went through the basic functions of this new feature. For more information, please refer to the Help Documentation. This is the end of the demo. Thank you for watching.
