Redwood: Use a Guided Journey Uptake in a Plan

Hello. My name is Rajan. Welcome to the demo of the update 25C Use a Guided Journey Uptake In a Plan in a Redwood page in Supply Chain Planning.

With this enhancement, user can now configure and launch Guided Journeys tailored to a specific plan type in Redwood. It will enable you to provide contextual guidance, such as tutorials, company policies, and best practices, directly within an existing application page. With this feature, Guided Journey is displayed as a page level header with a carousel allowing user to navigate through key business processes and information step by step.

Now, let's walk through a quick demo for this feature. In this example, I have opened a Guided Journey page titled, Supply Planner Guide. This was done by navigating to the search option under Setup and Maintenance and searching for Guided Journey.

This particular Guided Journey includes a variety of task types such as agent, external URL, report, analytics, manual task, and document. Each task has a clearly defined task name, making it easy to identify its purpose. For instance, the report task type has a task name order quantity report to guide user directly to the relevant reports.

In this step, I have opened the external URL task drawer to configure a navigation task within the Guided Journey. I have assigned a task name that is External URL, and selected External URL from the task type list of values. Under Task URL, I have provided the link to the destination page where user should be navigated when they select this task. Example, in this case, I have entered the URL for the OTBI dashboard, enabling direct access through the Guided Journey interface.

Next, I have opened the existing Order Quantity Report task drawer. To configure a report task type within the guided journey. I have assigned a task name that is Order Quantity Report and selected report from the task type list of values. Under report path, I have provided the path for the BI Publisher report named Order Quantity Report, which users can download when they select this task.

Here, I have opened the existing Pegging Analysis task drawer to configure an analytics task type within the Guided Journey. I have assigned a task name that is Pegging Analysis and selected analytics from the task type list of values. Under OTBI analysis path, I have provided the path for the OTBI analytics named Pegging Analysis, which users can directly see from the page level banner on the application page where Guided Journey is enabled without navigating to the OTBI.

Next, I have opened the steps to enable Guided Journey task drawer to configure a manual task type within the Guided Journey. Here, I have assigned a task name that is Steps to Enable Guided Journey and selected manual task from the task type list of values. Under add instructions for this task, I have listed the steps users needs to follow to create the Guided Journey, which will get displayed in a drawer from the page level banner on the application page where Guided Journey is enabled.

Here, I have opened the supply planning user guide task drawer to configure a document task type within the guided journey. I have assigned a task name that is Supply Planning User Guide and selected document task from the task type list of values. Through Drag and Drop capability for this task, I have added the supply planning user guide, which the users can download from the page level banner on the application page where Guided Journey is enabled.

Now, here, I have opened the existing Supply Planning AI Agent task drawer to configure an agent task type within the Guided Journey. I have assigned our task name that is Supply Planning AI agent and selected agent from the task type list of values. Under Workflow Agent, I have selected the document tool type agent, named Supply Planning Agent, which was created through AI Agent Studio. This agent will act as a user guide for the supply planning.

After creating the Guided Journey, now I am on the Redwood Supply Chain Planning work area, where I have selected a demand and supply plan named RTPC-PPS-MES-01. For which, I want to enable the Guided Journey with the various tasks under it. As of now, we can see this page is not having the page level banner for the Guided Journey created earlier. To enable the Guided Journey for this page, I went to Edit Page in Visual Builder Studio, under user dropdown menu.

After clicking the Edit Page in Visual Builder Studio option, it took me to Visual Builder Studio Page where under page properties, I have assigned the Guided Journey code named, Supply_Planner_Code to demand and supply plan type. The page, SCP_Workarea_Main, has multiple properties related to Guided Journeys, one for each plan type as shown here.

For example, BacklogManagementGJCode is for backlog management plan type. After assigning the created Guided Journey code. The page level banner with carousel appears. For example, here. External URL task appears with Show More action on the right side banner. On clicking Show More on the right side of the page level banner, a drawer opens which will help the user to navigate to the desired destination created earlier by clicking on "Go to Website" option.

Next, I went to Order Quantity Report task by clicking on the next dot icon below the Guided Journey page level banner. Similarly to the previous step, on clicking Show More on the right side of the page level banner, a drawer opens, which will help the user to download the report which was configured earlier. In this case, it will download the order quantity at item level.

Next, I went to Pegging Analysis task by clicking on the next dot icon below the Guided Journey page level banner. On clicking show more, a drawer opens, which will help the user to look into the OTBI analytics which was configured earlier. In this case, it will provide the user the pegging analysis at the item level.

Next, I went to Steps to Enable Guide Journey task by clicking on the next dot icon below the Guided Journey page level banner. On clicking Show More on the right side of the page level banner, a drawer opens for the user to look into these steps, which will help them in enabling the Guided Journey.

Next, I went to the Supply Planning User Guide task by clicking on the next dot icon below the guided journey page level banner. Similar to the previous step, on clicking Show More on the right side of the page level banner, a drawer opens, which will help the user to download the Supply Planning User Guide.

Next, I went to the Supply Planning AI Agent task by clicking on the dot icon below the Guided Journey page level banner. On clicking Ask Oracle on the right side of the page level banner for this task, our drawer opens, which will help the user to ask any specific question to the document tool type Supply Planning AI Agent created earlier.

For example, here I have asked information on how to run supply plan and Supply Planning AI Agent helped to get the information from the configured source documents. In this case, the source documents are Supply Planning User and Implementation Guide. Thus, we can see Guided Journey helps user to complete task by walking you through key business processes.

With this, I conclude the demo. Thank you for listening.
