Assign a Load Number to Group Shipments and Shipment Lines for Fulfillment
In this demo, I will show you how to create an outbound load, add lines to the outbound load and ship confirm the outbound load. You can access the outbound loads page by navigating to the outbound shipments task from the inventory management work area. The shipment lines page will open by default. Use the in-app navigation at the bottom of the page to switch to the outbound loads tab. By default, the page shows all open loads.
To create a new outbound load, click the Create Load button. In the drawer that opens, you can provide the load name, description, shipping method, and reference number for the load. If you don't enter a load name, the system will automatically generate one for you. Then, to create the load, click the Create button. Once the load is created, you'll be taken to the load details page, where you can add lines to the load and perform actions on it. To add lines, click the Add Lines button. A drawer will open, allowing you to search for shipment lines and add them to the load.
The content section also shows the shipments and LPNs of the lines assigned to the load. To view the shipments in the load, click the Shipments tab. Here you can also add lines to the load by searching and selecting a shipment. To do that, click Add Shipments. A drawer opens where you can search for shipments and add them to the load.
Once added, the shipment is linked to the load. Go back to the Shipment Lines tab. You'll see the lines from the added shipment. To view the LPNs in the load, click the LPNs tab. Here you can also add lines to the load by searching and selecting an LPN. To do that, click Add LPNs. A drawer opens where you can search for LPNs and add them to the load.
Once added, the LPN is linked to the load. Go back to the shipment lines tab. You'll see the lines from the added LPN. Once the lines are added to the load, you can proceed to pick release the load. You can do this in three ways. Use the new pick wave page where load name is available as a demand selection criterion. Use the Pick Release action on the load header or select the individual lines and click Pick Release. This will submit a scheduled process to pick release the lines in the load.
Once the load is ready for shipping, click the Ship Confirm button. This will ship confirm all the eligible lines in the load. The load is closed and the lines are shipped. You can also choose to confirm shipments one by one. In that case, once the last shipment is ship confirmed, the load will automatically close. This concludes the demonstration. Thank you for watching.
