Home Page Insights Zone

The Home Page Insights zone provides users with real-time, personalized visibility into critical work activities and work requests directly from the Home Page portal. Insights are automatically tailored based on each user’s planners and service areas and can be further customized by users to select which insights are displayed, as well as to reflect preferred planners, backlog groups, and service areas. Each insight includes a View button, which quickly navigates users to the relevant search page, such as Work Activity Insight or Work Request Insight, and displays all records matching the specific criteria for that insight. This enables users to seamlessly transition from high-level summaries to detailed record views and take immediate action on items requiring attention. This new zone empowers users to prioritize tasks, streamline daily workflows, and make informed decisions, driving productivity and improving operational outcomes across the organization.

With Home Page Insights, users gain instant access to a curated set of actionable information, including:

  • Overdue Work Activities: See work activities that are past due.
  • Overdue Compliance Work Activities: View compliance tasks that have missed their deadline.
  • New Work Requests Assigned: Find newly assigned work requests waiting for action.
  • Approved Work Requests: Track work requests that have been approved.
  • Approved Work Activities: Monitor activities that have received approval.
  • Work Activities Ready for Scheduling: Identify activities that are ready to be scheduled or require labor assignment.

 By centralizing these key updates, Home Page Insights allows users to manage their work more proactively, prioritize important items, and improve team performance across the organization.

This enables organizations to improve efficiency, accountability, and decision-making by surfacing the most important operational information directly on each user’s Home Page. By providing real-time, role-based insights, this feature helps users quickly identify and act on tasks that require immediate attention, reducing delays and minimizing the risk of overlooked responsibilities.

Steps to enable and configure

To enable and configure this feature, refer to the Configuring Insights Zone section of the Administrative User Guide.

Tips and considerations

The configuration of a single insight group for the entire organization is required for the Insights zone to be visible on the Home Page. If an insight group is not established, the Insights zone will not be displayed. Furthermore, users must be granted access to the User Miscellaneous MO (W1-USERMISC) application service in order to configure and personalize their insights, including the selection of preferred planners, backlog groups, and service areas.

The Work Activity Insight (W1-WACTQ11) zone has been added to the Work Activity Search (W1-WACTQRY) as Query Zone 10. If a custom (CM) zone has been previously configured in Query Zone 10, it must be moved to the next available query zone to implement this new feature. It is recommended that any impacted configurations be reviewed and adjusted to ensure that both the Work Activity Insight zone and the custom zone remain accessible and fully functional.
