Attention: To list budgeted additions for each depreciation method, you must enter budget information for the full category flexfield combination. If you only enter major category budget information or do not enter any budget information, you can run this report without comparing a budget book.
The report also shows what percentage of your budgeted amount the actual additions for the fiscal year represent. The report sorts by and prints totals for each depreciation method and balancing segment.
For the United States, you can use this report to determine the percentage of asset cost added in the final quarter of your fiscal year. For the Mid-Quarter Convention Rule, if that percentage is greater than 40% of the total asset cost added in that year, all assets must use the mid-quarter convention. Use the Mass Changes window to change the prorate convention of the assets if necessary.
You must enter a Budget Book, Tax Book and Cut-Off Date when you request this report. Enter a date range start date as the cut-off date to compare the cost of assets added before this date to the cost of all additions for the fiscal year. Enter the last day in the third quarter as the cut-off date to determine the percentage of asset cost added in your final quarter.
