Siebel Content Publishing Guide > Setting Up Content Services > Resolving Problems with Content Services > Users Receive Too Much NewsIf the amount of news and data that is published on a regular basis in the Siebel application becomes too large, you can change the number of days that news and data are published by changing the argument values in the Administration - Integration > Symbolic URL view. This reduces the amount of information that appears by removing older items. The number of days for which articles are published is controlled by the HIST argument value in content agents. Table 12 provides an example of the Symbolic URL HIST argument values. The default setting for HIST is 90 days. You can also change the number of articles that appear. The number of articles that appear is controlled by the MAX argument value in content agents. Table 13 provides an example of the Symbolic URL MAX argument values. The default setting for MAX is 20 days. If users are receiving news and information about too many accounts or competitors, they can reduce their list of tracked accounts and competitors by modifying their tracking profiles.
