Managing Versions and Publishing from the All News Stories List

As an administrator, you can manage the versions of a news story, reviewing the version history, previewing previous versions of a story, and, if desired, restoring a previous version of a news story.

You can also perform one-click publication of a news story from the All News list, moving the story directly from the staging database environment to the production database environment.

This task is a step in Process of Managing Group News.

To publish a story

1. From the application-level menu, choose Navigate > Site Map > Administration - Group News > All News.
2. In the News Stories list, select the news story, and click Publish.

To view a version history and preview the news story

1. From the application-level menu, choose Navigate > Site Map > Administration - Group News > All News.
2. In the All News List, select the news story, and then click the Versions view tab.
3. In the Versions list, select the version, and then click Preview.

   The sequence of versions is listed in the Version # field.

To restore a previous version of the news story

1. From the application-level menu, choose Navigate > Site Map > Administration - Group News > All News.
2. In the All News List, select the news story, and then click the Versions view tab.
3. In the Versions list, select the version, and then click Restore.
