Uninstalling Siebel Servers or the Siebel Enterprise

To uninstall version 7.8, you must either be the same user or in the same group as the user who performed the installation.

CAUTION:  When uninstalling servers, always uninstall the Siebel Gateway Name Server last, after all Siebel Servers in the Siebel Enterprise have been removed, and only stop the Siebel Server; the Uninstallation Wizard automatically stops the Siebel Gateway Name Server. If you do stop the Siebel Gateway Name Server prior to uninstall, you will receive the following error message: Errors were encountered while changing the configuration in the following steps: RmNSDef, RmNSEntDef.

NOTE:  You cannot uninstall Language Packs selectively from your servers. If you must uninstall a particular Language Pack, you must uninstall the Siebel Server on which it is installed and reinstall it with the correct Language Pack or Packs.
