The applicability of topics in the book is listed at the beginning of each topic. Table 4 lists the applicability categories and their meaning. For each topic, only the relevant categories are listed.

Upgrades |
Lists the upgrades to which the topic applies, for example: Upgrades from: All Supported Siebel releases. For a list of supported Siebel Releases for your installation, see Siebel System Requirements and Supported Platforms on Oracle Technology Network. |
Environments |
Lists the Siebel environments to which the topic applies. For example, "Environments: Development environment only" means the topic applies only to a development environment upgrade. |
Databases |
Lists the databases to which the topic applies. For example, "Databases: IBM DB2 only" means the topic applies only to IBM DB2 databases. |
Platforms |
Lists the operating system platform to which the topic applies. For example, "Platforms: Windows only" means the topic applies only to Windows platforms. Windows and UNIX refer to the Enterprise Server platforms (one of which is used by all customers). IBM z/OS refers to the database platform also used by IBM DB2 for z/OS customers. |
