Field Service Representative Response to Outbound Message

After receiving the message, the field service representative sends a response to the Siebel Server. The inbound response message is received and processed by the Inbound Wireless Messaging Activity Dispatch workflow process, and causes the dispatch activity to be updated.

For the predefined workflows, the inbound message must begin with either of the following:

  • Sebl A (for acknowledge) sets the status of the dispatch activity to Acknowledged.
  • Sebl D (for decline) sets the status of the dispatch activity to Unscheduled.

If a different message is sent in error, such as one beginning with "Sebl B" or some other string, an error message is logged in the Comments field of the dispatch activity and no further updating of the dispatch activity occurs.

The MobileSys Network also sends message delivery status data to the Siebel Server, and causes the tracking activity to be updated.
