Adding Other Kinds of Content to a Siebel Analytics Dashboard

This topic explains how to add images, links, text, Web Catalog items, and HTML to a dashboard.

To add an image to a dashboard

  1. Navigate to a dashboard section to which you want to add an image.
  2. Click the Edit icon in the section.

    3. The Edit Section page appears.

  3. In the Section Content area, click the Image link.

    4. The Add New Image page appears.

  4. Complete the fields as needed.

    5. NOTE:  The URL that you specify for the image should begin with http:// unless you plan to use an image that is saved on your Web server.

  5. To make the image a hyperlink, complete the fields in the Link Options area.
  6. Click Preview.

    7. The Preview Content page displays an active preview of the image.

  7. Click Accept.
  8. Click Finished.

    9. The new image appears in the edited section.

To add a link or text to a dashboard

  1. Navigate to a dashboard section to which you want to add content.
  2. Click the Edit icon in the section.

    3. The Edit Section page appears.

  3. In the Section Content area, click the Link or Text link.

    4. The Add New Image page appears.

  4. Complete the fields as needed.
  5. To make the text a hyperlink, complete the fields in the Link Options area.

  6. Click Preview.

    7. The Preview Content page displays an active preview of the text.

  7. Click Accept.
  8. Click Finished.

    9. The new text appears in the edited section.

To add a saved Web Catalog item to a dashboard

  1. Navigate to a dashboard section to which you want to add content.
  2. Click the Edit icon in the section.

    3. The Edit Section page appears.

  3. In the Section Content area, click the Item from Catalog link.

    4. The Add Item From Catalog page appears.

  4. Click the folder link that contains the saved item.
  5. Click the saved item.
  6. Click Finished.

    7. The Web Catalog item appears in the edited section.

To add HTML to a dashboard

  1. Navigate to a dashboard section to which you want to add content.
  2. Click the Edit icon in the section.

    3. The Edit Section page appears.

  3. In the Section Content area, click the HTML link.

    4. The Add New HTML page appears.

  4. In the Item Name text box, type a descriptive name for the HTML item.

    5. NOTE:  The name you supply will not appear in the dashboard. It is used to save the HTML item to the Siebel Analytics Web Catalog.

  5. Click Preview.

    6. The Preview Content page displays an active preview of the HTML.

  6. Click Accept.
  7. Click Finished.
