Editing SQL Statements for Filters in Siebel Answers


This topic explains how to access and edit the SQL statements that make a filter work.

To display the SQL generated for a filter in Siebel Answers

  1. Display a request that uses a filter.
  2. In the right pane, click the Advanced tab.
  3. The proposed SQL for the request appears.

NOTE:  Advanced users and developers can use the section Advanced SQL Clauses near the bottom of the Advanced tab to specify specific GROUP BY, HAVING, and DISTINCT clauses to include in the SQL issued to the Siebel Analytics Server.

If you want to edit the SQL Where clause, click the Criteria tab and use the instructions in Editing SQL to edit the SQL generated for the filter.

To edit the SQL generated for a filter in Siebel Answers

  1. In the Request Filters area on the Criteria tab, click the Edit link.
  2. The Create/Edit Filter page appears.

  3. In the Additional Options area (just below the Filter Definition area), click the Convert this filter to SQL link.
  4. The Advanced SQL Filter page appears.

  5. Type your modifications into the text box.
  6. Click Finished.
