Specifying Mobile Device Settings


By using the Mobile screen, which is available with many Siebel eBusiness Applications, you can manage your mobile devices and wireless messaging addresses for these devices. You can:

The Mobile screen is accessible in the following Siebel applications: Siebel Call Center, Siebel Sales, Siebel Service, and Siebel Partner Portal. However, this screen requires a license for either Siebel Wireless Messaging or Siebel Wireless.

NOTE:  You can access the Mobile screen from your Siebel eBusiness Application running the Siebel Web Client. The Mobile screen is not available from the Siebel Mobile Web Client or Siebel Dedicated Web Client.

If you are using the Siebel Wireless application, Online Help for this application is available, which contains information to help guide you through device registration and personalization.

To configure wireless messaging for your mobile device

  1. From the application-level menu, choose View > Site Map > Mobile.
  2. In the Mobile Devices list, select the mobile device you want to work with, or, if necessary, create a new mobile device record, as described in the next section.
  3. Use the Message Delivery or Mobile Alerts view tabs to establish the configuration of the selected device, as described in subsequent sections.
