Bundling Type Pricing Factors


When you define a bundling type pricing factor, you must specify a list of items and the discount that applies if the user selects the required items in the list. For example, you might specify that, if customers buy a dining room table and four chairs, they get 10 percent off on the price of the chairs.

NOTE:  Rather than using a pricing factor, you can create a simple product bundle, which allows you to set a price for the entire bundle. For example, you might specify that, if customers buy a dining room table and four chairs, they pay a special discount price for the entire set. The bundling type pricing factors makes adjustments based on line item prices, but these adjustments are visible as an adjustment to the total cost of the order. They are not visible to the user in each line item price.

Because you must specify the list of products that is in the bundle, you define bundling type pricing factors differently than other pricing factors. When you choose Bundling in the Type field:
