Installing Resonate for Siebel Analytics Web Server

These procedures describe how to set up the Siebel Web Engine (SWE) and Analytics Web on different Web servers running on different machines, to create a single logical domain between the two machines using Resonate Dispatch Manager. This setup is necessary in order for Action Links to work properly.

You may use other load balancing software. However, Siebel Systems provides the Resonate server and provides technical support only for this load balancing software. For other types of load balancing systems, please refer to the documentation of the software. The key element is to create a virtual IP address for the Siebel Web Engine and Siebel Analytics Server so that, to the browser, it appears that both servers are running on the same IP address. Creating virtual IP addresses is described in several of the following procedures.

NOTE:  Siebel Analytics must already be installed and tested before installing the Resonate software.
