XML Schema Definitions (XSDs)

Modified topic. Added a note that all Siebel data types map to xsd:string, except DTYPE_ATTACHMENT, which maps to xsd:base64Binary.

EAI XML Converter Parameters

New topic. It describes two new server component parameters that allow you to control the location of temporary XML file generation and threshold size for use with the EAI XML Converter.

Removing Empty XML Tags

New topic. It describes how to remove empty tags from XML files when making Web service calls.

Additional Changes

  • Several introductory topics for chapters were rewritten for consistency.
  • The descriptions for the maxLength and minLength XML Schema Definitions (XSD) elements in Table 6 were corrected.
  • Business service method arguments were updated in Siebel XML Converters.
