Optimizing Display Space on the Dispatch Board Gantt Chart (High-Interactivity Client)

You can optimize the display space on the Gantt chart of the Dispatch Board so that users can more easily navigate in the Dispatch Board. For more information about performing configuration tasks with Siebel Tools, see Using Siebel Tools.

To display the optimal amount of information in the display space on the Gantt chart of the Dispatch Board, perform the following procedures:

• Changing the Number of Rows on the Dispatch Board Gantt Chart
• Changing the Height of the Display Area on the Dispatch Board Gantt Chart

This task is a step in Process of Configuring the Dispatch Board (High-Interactivity Client).

Changing the Number of Rows on the Dispatch Board Gantt Chart

You can change the number of rows of employee information that appears on the Gantt chart of the Dispatch Board.

To change the number of rows on the Dispatch Board Gantt chart

1. Log in to Siebel Tools as an administrator.
2. Lock the FS Dispatch Board project for editing.
3. In Object Explorer, navigate to Applet, and query for the FS DB Planned GanttChart AX Applet.
4. Navigate to Applet, then Applet User Prop, and query for the Y-BC ViewSet Size user property.

   NOTE:  If Applet User Prop is not visible, then navigate to View, then Options, select the Object Explorer tab, and select the Applet User Prop object definition.

5. Change the number in the Value field to the number of rows that you want to appear.

Changing the Height of the Display Area on the Dispatch Board Gantt Chart

After you change the number of rows that appear on the Gantt chart of the Dispatch Board, you must change the height of the display area to accommodate all of the rows. To determine the proper height, use the following formula:(23 times the number of rows) plus 84.

For example, if you change the number of rows to 20, then you must change the height of the display area to 544 ([23 times 20] plus 84).

To change the height of the display area on the Dispatch Board Gantt chart

1. Log in to Siebel Tools as an administrator.
2. Lock the FS Dispatch Board project for editing.
3. In Object Explorer, navigate to Applet, and query for the FS DB Planned GanttChart AX Applet.
4. Navigate to Applet, then Control, and query for the GanttCtrl control
5. Change the number in the HTML Height field to the number that you calculate using the revised number of rows to appear.
