Performance and Scalability of Synchronization for Handheld Applications

There are a number of factors that affect the performance and scalability of synchronization in Siebel Handheld applications. It is very important that administrators and those involved in the design and deployment of Siebel Handheld applications understand the impact of usage parameters on synchronization performance and scalability. For more information about application-specific variables affecting synchronization and data from synchronization scalability tests, see 476964.1 (Doc ID) on My Oracle Support. This document was previously published as Siebel Technical Note 405.

Using Multiple Siebel Handheld Synchronization Servers

As you scale your deployment, you might need to use multiple Siebel Handheld Synchronization Servers to accommodate all of your users. Your users must be manually assigned to a particular Siebel Handheld Synchronization Server. Resonate products cannot be used for load balancing. For more information about scaling deployments, see 476964.1 (Doc ID) on My Oracle Support. This document was previously published as Siebel Technical Note 405. You can also refer to your hardware manufacturer's documentation.
