Requirements for Installing Siebel eService


The following items are required to install Siebel eService:

  • Database server. For a list of supported database servers, including version and connectivity software information, see Siebel System Requirements and Supported Platforms on Oracle Technology Network.
  • Siebel Enterprise Server. For a list of Siebel Enterprise Server requirements, see Siebel System Requirements and Supported Platforms on Oracle Technology Network.
  • Web server. For a list of supported Web servers, including vendor and hardware software configuration information, see Siebel System Requirements and Supported Platforms on Oracle Technology Network.

NOTE:  For Siebel CRM product releases 8.1.1.9 and later and for 8.2.2.2 and later, the system requirements and supported platform certifications are available from the Certification tab on My Oracle Support. NOTE:  The Siebel Bookshelf is available on Oracle Technology Network (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/indexes/documentation/index.html) and Oracle Software Delivery Cloud. It might also be installed locally on your intranet or on a network location.

Siebel eService for Siebel Open UI uses the Self Service Object Manager (LANG) component (SServiceObjMgr_lang alias) in the Siebel Call Center component group. You must make sure that Siebel Open UI is enabled for this component by verifying that the EnableOpenUI and HighInteractivity parameters for this component are set to a value of True. For Siebel eService for Siebel Open UI, you must again implement any customizing that you implemented for Siebel eService for standard interactivity.

The configuration file for Siebel eService for Siebel Open UI is sservice.cfg, and the virtual directory for Siebel eService for Siebel Open UI is sservice_lang.
