Before you begin

You can customize the following properties for the way in which each metric is displayed in a chart:

Metric name
Marker symbol used for the metric in the chart viewport
Color used for marker symbol.

To customize a metric's display properties:

From the View List, open the view containing one or more charts whose metric display properties you want to change.
Select the metric legend menu and choose Properties.
The Metric Properties dialog box is displayed.
Change one or more of the following display properties, as appropriate:
- Name
- Marker symbol
- Marker color

Result

Changes you make to the metric's display property are persisted in the Monitoring Dashboard cache and are visible the next time the chart is displayed.
