This chapter lists the software compatible with Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management (BRM) 7.5 server and client systems.
Note:
BRM 7.5 server components do not support any 32-bit server operating systems.
Character Sets: BRM 7.5 supports both AL32UTF8 and UTF8 character sets. The default character set is AL32UTF8 and is recommended for all new BRM 7.5 deployments. Upgrades from previous BRM versions can continue to use UTF8, although the recommendation is to migrate to AL32UTF8 to improve future support.
This section describes the primary software components compatible with an Oracle Solaris implementation.
Table 2-1 shows the versions of Solaris server and client operating systems compatible with BRM 7.5:

For BRM 7.5 Patch Set 4 or later patch sets, if BRM is installed on a Solaris server, install the 148198-03 for SPARC patch on that server.
