Preface

The Sun Blade^TMServer Module Service Manual provides information to aid in diagnosing hardware problems and describes how to replace components. This manual also describes how to add components such as hard drives and memory.

This manual is written for technicians, service personnel, and system administrators who service and repair computer systems. The person qualified to use this manual:

How This Book Is Organized

Chapter 4 describes how to remove and replace components that cannot be hot- swapped.

Using UNIX Commands

This document might not contain information about basic UNIX^® commands and procedures such as shutting down the system, booting the system, and configuring devices. Refer to the following for this information:

Typographic Conventions
