 slapi_entry_set_dn()
Sets the distinguished name (DN) of an entry.

Syntax

#include "slapi-plugin.h"
void slapi_entry_set_dn( Slapi_Entry *e, char *dn );

Parameters

The function has the following parameters:
e

Entry that you want to assign the DN to.
dn

Distinguished name you want assigned to the entry.

Description

This function sets the pointer to the DN to the DN that you specify. Note that the old DN is not overwritten and is still in memory. Because of this, you should first call slapi_entry_get_dn() to get the pointer to the current DN, free the DN, then call slapi_entry_set_dn() to set the pointer to your new DN.
