The minimum CAM software, J4500 array firmware and HBA requirements for zoning are:
CAM version 6.4.1 must be running on the CAM management host or CAM data host (running CAM proxy agent software) and be directly connected to the J4500 array.
A supported LSI-based HBA (SG-XPCIE8SAS-E-Z or SG-PCIE8SAS-EB-Z) with the minimum required firmware must be installed in the CAM management or data host and be directly connected to the J4500 array.
J4500 array(s) to be zoned must have a minimum array enclosure firmware version of 5.03.73.
Note - At a minimum, CAM 6.4.1 must be used to upgrade the J4500 firmware to baseline. The two SAS fabrics (SAS A and B) on the J4500 array must be at the same firmware level. Each SAS fabric must be upgraded separately. See Upgrading Sun Storage J4500 Array Firmware Using CAM.
