Mapping the Connection Pool Configuration
Directory Proxy Server 5.2 can be configured to reuse existing connections to the backend LDAP servers. This can provide a significant performance gain if the backend servers are on a Wide Area Network (WAN). In Directory Proxy Server 11g Release 1 (11.1.1), this functionality is provided with connection pools that are configured in the backend server itself. For more information, see Chapter 18, LDAP Data Views, in Oracle Fusion Middleware Administration Guide for Oracle Directory Server Enterprise Edition.
In Directory Proxy Server 5.2, these configuration attributes are stored under ids-proxy-con-Config-Name=user-defined-name,ou=system,ou=dar-config,o=netscaperoot.
The following table provides a mapping between Directory Proxy Server 5.2 connection configuration attributes and the corresponding Directory Proxy Server 11g Release 1 (11.1.1) properties.

The connection pool grows automatically to a configured maximum.
