Upgrading from Early Access Versions

If you have a prior version of i-Planet installed, for example, through an early access release, when you start the installation script, the script detects the previous version and you are prompted to remove it before starting the new installation.

If you have a prior version installed, verify that /etc/inetd.conf is a symbolic link to /etc/inet/inetd.conf and that /etc/services is a symbolic link to /etc/inet/services. If these symbolic links do not exist, create the links as root:

# ln -s /etc/inet/inetd.conf /etc/inetd.conf
# ln -s /etc/inet/services /etc/services
