How to Manually Install Components on Oracle Solaris 11

Before You Begin

  1. Determine which Hardware Management Pack components that you want to install. See Available Packages for Oracle Solaris 11.
  2. To list the available packages:
    pkg list -g file:///extraction-directory/oracle-hmp-2.2.2-SunOS-5.11.p5p
  3. To install the packages, use the following command:
    pkg install -g  file:///extraction-directory/oracle-hmp-2.2.2-SunOS-5.11.p5p package-name

    where package-name is one or more of the packages listed in Available Packages for Oracle Solaris 11.

    The selected packages are installed.
