Documentation Update Description Guide(s)
Alta Adoption JD Edwards has adopted a new style sheet called Alta for all of its interactive applications. The Alta style provides the most modern user interface design and also provides a consistent look with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne mobile applications along with other Oracle ERP and Cloud product offerings. A new version of the Foundation Guide has been published that includes updated screen shots that reflect the Alta user interface changes. See the EnterpriseOne Tools 9.1.5 Foundation Guide.
Server Only Packages This feature removes the requirement to build a client package before building server packages, and by doing so, reduces the time required to build and deploy packages to enterprise (and HTML) servers.Updated the package build process including changes to where the build takes place, package compression, and log files. Also introduced the concept of a primary server. Updates are throughout the Package Management Guide. See the following sections for details:
Recent Breadcrumbs Breadcrumbs enable you to:
  • Quickly and easily navigate to any other application within the menu structure of the currently open application.

  • View the breadcrumbs history and access the application as required.

  • View and access the breadcrumbs history even after you log out and log in again to the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne application.

Email and Calendar Integration Enables users to collaborate with other users by using the Send Email and Send Meeting Invite options.You can access this feature from the Collaborate submenu of the Tools menu item on the applications toolbar. Clustering for Outbound Business Services This feature enables configuring a clustered Business Services Server instance for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne outbound web services. The clustering feature enables scalability, load balancing, and high availability for JD Edwards outbound web services by providing multiple ports to receive JDENet messages from the Enterprise Server, and the Enterprise Server can send JDENet messages to multiple clustered Business Services Server ports. 4/21/15 Performing AIS Form Service Calls (formerly Configuring Form Service Calls for Retrieving Data) Starting with EnterpriseOne Tools release 9.1 Update 5.3, the EnterpriseOne HTML Server uses a different setting—DB Fetch Limit in the Web Runtime Interactivity section—to determine maximum numbers of rows returned to the grid. The default value for DB Fetch Limit is 2000.

The JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Internet of Things Orchestrator Guide is a new guide added to the documentation library for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools 9.15.5. This guide describes how to design and configure IoT orchestrations to enable the immediate, real-time transformation of raw data from third-party devices to valuable and transaction-capable information in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.

The JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Developing and Customizing Application Development Framework (ADF) Guide is a new guide added to the documentation library for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools 9.1.5.5. This guide describes the Oracle Application Developer Framework (ADF) and discusses the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne-specific tools and environment required to support the development of ADF enterprise applications for EnterpriseOne.
