Oracle Endeca Information Access Platform release 6 includes major improvements to query performance and data update functionality, through an enhanced data storage layer capable of perpetually applying data updates at larger volumes and faster update tempos. Release 6.1.x further enhances these data update capabilities by enabling continuous query operation. The MDEX Engine now processes query and update requests concurrently, with no downtime. This development dramatically simplifies operational management and, by minimizing downtime, increases the effective capacity of existing server hardware.
