About Network Configuration Modes
Two network configuration modes are supported in Oracle Solaris: fixed and reactive.
Note -
The terms fixed and reactive modes refer to the ability of the system to automatically adjust
to changes in the current network environment and not to whether you can configure static or fixed
IP addresses when using in these modes.
