Enabling and Disabling a DHCP Client

To enable or disable a DHCP client, you must reconfigure the system.

Note -  In many deployments, crucial parts of the infrastructure are set up with static IP addresses rather than using DHCP. Determining which devices or systems on your network should be configured as DHCP clients (for example routers and systems providing certain services) and which should not is beyond the scope of this guide.
