SEI KDS Chit Markers

Similar to a standard PC-based KDS, Select Electronics, Inc. (SEI) KDS shows markers on the order receipts to indicate their status. The following table describes the markers that appear on SEI KDS:

Marker Marker Name Description

This figure shows the VIP Order marker, which is the word VIP in uppercase.

VIP Order

A VIP customer.

This figure shows the Rush Order marker, which is two greater than symbols.

Rush Order

A rush order.

Timer shows in yellow on red

First Alert

The order has passed the First Alert preset time limit.

Timer flashing in white on red

Second Alert

The order has passed the Second Alert preset time limit.

This figure shows the Inactive Order marker, which is a dash or minus sign.

Prep Status – Inactive Order

Each marker on the chit header represents a Prep Station that the order is not active on.

This figure shows the Active Order marker, which is an uppercase O.

Prep Status – Active Order

Each marker on the chit header represents a Prep Station that the order is active on.

This figure shows the Prep Status – Done marker, which is an uppercase X.

Prep Status – Done

Each marker on the chit header represents a Prep Station that has marked the order Done on that Prep Station.

This figure shows the Marked/Parked Order marker, which is the work Park in uppercase.

Marked/Parked Order

The order is marked (parked) and cannot be bumped.

This figure shows the All Prep Done marker, which is the word Done in uppercase.

All Prep Done

All suborders are marked Done.

This figure shows the Oldest Prep Done marker, which is the word Done in uppercase. (Flashing)

Oldest All Prep Done

The order on the KDS display that is the oldest (longest time in the kitchen) is marked Done at all Prep Stations.

This figure shows the Recall Order marker, which is the work ReC.

Recall

The order has been recalled to the display. A recalled order is an order that was previously bumped (marked complete) at a station but has been recalled to display again.

An This figure shows the Cancelled Order icon, which is a red X. superimposed over the order/suborder.

Cancelled Order

The order was cancelled.

This figure shows the Item Done marker, which is an uppercase D.

Item Done

The item is marked as Done. The marker appears beside the item name.

This figure shows the Void marker, which is an uppercase V.

Void

The item is voided from the order.
