To facilitate CAPS configuration, you can use the CAPS Configuration Tool to configure CAPS. The CAPS Configuration Tool is packaged with Simphony installation, and deploys to the Tools folder on the Simphony server when you upgrade to Simphony version 2.9 or install Simphony version 2.9.
The CAPS Configuration Tool is also available as the CAPSonIIS CAL Package for hosted Simphony installations. This CAL package contains the necessary tools and CAPS software.
The CAPS Configuration Tool creates the CAPS database schema on an Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server database. It also helps to configure the service on IIS. The tool offers an option to upgrade CAPS to future versions of Simphony.
