public class HierarchyDataIndexReader
extends java.lang.Object

Class used to read a hierarchy level data index. The index can be read sequentially by calling nextParentRecords() or by looking entries by parent id calling the findParentRecords() method.

Constructor Detail

HierarchyDataIndexReader

public HierarchyDataIndexReader(int level,
                                java.lang.String levelName,
                                Configuration conf)
                         throws java.io.IOException

Creates a new reader for the specified hierarchy level index. The index path is looked at the distributed cache and the job configuration

Parameters:

level - the hierarchy level the index belongs to

levelName - the hierarchy level name

conf - the job configuration

Throws:

java.io.IOException

                                JobConf conf)
                         throws java.io.IOException

Creates a new reader for the specified hierarchy level index.

Parameters:

path - the path where the index is

level - the hierarchy level the index belongs to

conf - the job configuration

java.io.IOException

findParentRecords

Finds the given parent's children records.

Parameters:

parentId - the parent id to be searched.

records - a RecordInfoArrayWritable where the results will be stored (if any)

Returns:

true if the parent id was found.

Throws:

java.io.IOException

getLevel

public int getLevel()

Gets the hierarchy level of the current index

Returns:

a hierarchy level number

nextParentRecords

public boolean nextParentRecords(Text parentId,
                                 RecordInfoArrayWritable records)
                          throws java.io.IOException

Gets the next key (parent id), value (parent's children records) pair

Parameters:

parentId - a Text to store the the next parent id

records - a RecordInfo to store the next childred records

Returns:

true if new values were read

java.io.IOException
