Calculating Compensation

Oracle Sales Compensation calculates compensation using the compensation formulas shown in Figure 9 - 1 and Figure 9 - 2 for quota and revenue based plan elements. After determining that the credit receiver can be paid the compensation, Oracle Sales Compensation calculates the compensation using this formula and the following calculation parameters defined in the credit receiver's compensation plan:

Note: In both Figure 9 -1 and Figure 9 - 2, Current Quota Achievement is not added if the plan element is revenue based, calculated individually, and the Accumulate box is not checked.

Figure 9 - 3 shows an example of a compensation payment calculation for a sale of a make-to-stock model of the Sentinel Multimedia PC. Global currently has an incentive program in place for sales of this computer: to incent salespeople to close business, the revenue class is earnings paid on customer payment; the corporation is trying to increase revenue from this model, so both a quota and payment uplift of 200% are in effect.
