Viewing Performance
In Oracle Sales Compensation you can easily see a salesperson's quota achievement,or performance against quota. Accessing this information is key because a salesperson's commission payment varies with the level of performance.
The Performance window, which lets you view a salesperson's performance against quota at any time, including compensation plan name and achievement by amount and percentage. Period-to-date information helps you stay on top of salesperson performance, while year-to-date information provides a bigger picture of performance against business objectives.
Details about performance include:
- the name of the plan the salesperson was assigned
- performance against quota in amounts and percentages, shown both for the period and for the year
- earnings for the current period in the salesrep currency, which is the currency in which the salesperson has opted to be paid, and is the currency shown in the Subledger window for the salesperson
- achievement by revenue class for the period and year
To view a salesperson's performance against quota:
1. Open the Salespeople window and run a query to locate the salesperson you want to work with.
By default, to open the Salespeople window, choose Salespeople Workbench from the Salespeople menu.
The Subledger Balances window opens.
3. Select Functional Currency or Rep Currency from the alternate region. The functional currency is the default.
4. Select the period you want to view and choose Performance.
The Performance window opens.
Oracle Sales Compensation displays this information:
Plan Element: The plan elements in the compensation plan assigned to this salesperson during this period.
PTD Earnings: The total amount of compensation earned for the plan elements during this period.
YTD Earnings: The total amount of compensation earned for the plan elements during this year.
Achievement: The revenue earned during this period and this year to date.
Quota: The quota earned during this period and this year to date.
Percent: The percentage of quota against achievement during this period and this year to date.
For Revenue Class Achievement, Oracle Sales Compensation shows the achievement during this period and this year to date for each revenue class in the selected plan element.
