   To query the appropriate profile option:

1. Login to Oracle Applications and choose the Sales Compensation Superuser responsibility.

2. Navigate to the System Profile Values window, Standard Path: Setup/Profiles/System.

3. Enter the following values or choose from the List of Values.

• Application: Oracle Sales Compensation

• Responsibility: Enter a responsibility only if the profile option that you are defining is specific to a responsibility. In the case of Multi-Org, it will be necessary to set all profile options at the responsibility level because the responsibility is defined for each Multi-Org organization

• User: Name of the User only if the profile option that you are defining is specific to a user. For instance, Report Security Levels may be different by user, where SQL Spool Path will be the same for all users

• Profile: OSC%

4. Choose the FIND button.

Analyst	View and print reports for anyone that is assigned to them.
Manager	View and print reports only for the sales representatives that are below them in the hierarchy.

   To enter the directory path which will contain the SQL spooled files:

1. Navigate to System Profiles, Setup -> Profile -> System.

2. Query OSC: SQL_SPOOL_PATH.

3. In the Site column, enter the directory path where the Concurrent Manager would spool out the SQL text files.

Note: Make sure the user has write privileges in this directory. Also the total length of the path should be less than 35 characters.

It is normally recommended that the user should spool to the directory $APPLCSF/$APPLOUT or $APPL_TOP/$CN_TOP/out/ where the concurrent manager will write all the log and out files.

For example, on a Unix server:

• $APPLCSF = /endev/en/1.0

• $APPLOUT = rtout

So the CN_SQL_SPOOL_PATH value should be /endev/cn/1.0/rtout/.

Note: Make sure to include the last / in a Unix environment.

The OSC: SQL_SPOOL_PATH gets predefined with the file which is to be generated when running any of the above mentioned programs. For example, when running Install Classification Rules program, you will see in the parameters window: /cndev/cn/10.0/out/cnclrul.sql.

The path will be unique for each installation site and will depend on the operating system.

OSC: Debug Mode

   To locate errors:

1. Log into the application using the Application Developer GUI responsibility.

2. Navigate to Profile.

3. Run a query with "Oracle Sales Compensation" entered in the Application field.

4. For the Profile OSC: Debug Mode, make sure that the Active Dates End is set to NULL.

5. Switch to the Sales Compensation Superuser Responsibility.

6. Navigate to Setup -> Profile -> System.

7. OSC% into the Profile field and choose the FIND button.

8. Set the Site to Yes for the Profile "OSC: Debug Mode."

9. Go into the appropriate Sales Compensation responsibility.

10. Run the concurrent manager procedure that you want to run.

11. Navigate to Administration->Process Log.

12. Find the Process log id for the concurrent manager procedure that you ran.

13. Choose the Process log button.

14. Choose the Debug button.

15. You will then see the information on the statements that the concurrent manager procedure tried to execute.

OSC: User's Employee Number
