Uniform Invoice
A Uniform Invoice is issued for each Receivables (AR) invoice. Each Uniform
Invoice is assigned a Uniform Invoice number. This number consists of two
characters, which are referred to as the Uniform Invoice Word, and eight digits.
Uniform Invoice numbers are supplied by the government every month in books of
invoices, also referred to as number segments. You can have several books in use at
the same time; however, invoices within each book must be used in sequence.
There are two types of Uniform Invoices:
Duplicate, for non-commercial customers
Triplicate, for commercial customers
There are separate books of invoices for these two types.
