Calculating the Total Score

You can choose one of two methods to calculate the total score for the assessment. You can also use these total scores to rank groups of candidates, for use in compensation.

You can choose to calculate the total score by:

Figure 1 - 34 illustrates an assessment based on proficiency, with weighting applied to proficiency. The total score is calculated as a sum total.

If you calculated the total score as an average total instead (25 + 10 + 3, divided by 3), the total score would be 16 rather than 38.
