Identifying Your Business Goals Before Implementing the Competence Approach

We suggest that the first thing you do before you set up the application is to produce an action plan. This helps you identify your enterprise's strategic business goals and objectives you want the competence approach to address. It also helps you identify the processes required to meet and achieve those goals.

Business goals or objectives take many forms, but they usually define what has to be done within the enterprise. For example, 'to build an oil rig', 'to improve the quality of the product' or to 'gain greater penetration in the applications market'.

Once you have identified your business goals and objectives, Oracle Human Resources enables you to develop a competence approach that best supports your enterprise's goals.

You enter your business goals quickly and easily using Special Information Types that are shared throughout the application.
