LOWER

Syntax

Purpose

LOWER returns char, with all letters lowercase. The return value has the same datatype as the argument char (CHAR or VARCHAR2).

Example

SELECT LOWER('MR. SCOTT MCMILLAN') "Lowercase"
   FROM DUAL;
