| Lex, Amissa, and Talionis is a law firm with thousands of files to manage. From depositions typed into Microsoft Word, to older documents that have been scanned and stored into a large, unorganized archive, the demands are too great for the one NT server and a few extra PCs added to the network for file storage.
It has become far too difficult to find key files. When multiple authors work on the same document, they often overwrite each others' changes. Although it's critical for both business and legal reasons to keep drafts of files around, the only way to do it is to make multiple copies of the same file by renaming it. |
