iFS Supports Popular Protocols
Because it stores e-mail, HTML documents, and other types of files, iFS acts as an e-mail, web, and standard file server, running these protocol servers:
  • HTTP: To deliver web pages to client browsers.
  • FTP: To transfer files.
  • SMTP: To send e-mail messages.
  • IMAP4: To deliver e-mail messages to your browser.
  • SMB: To work with Windows files.

Since iFS runs these protocols, all you have to do to access iFS is map the iFS drive, open an FTP connection, configure your e-mail client, or point your browser to the iFS server.
