OCIDateCompare()

Purpose

Compares two dates.

Syntax

sword OCIDateCompare ( OCIError           *err, 
                       CONST OCIDate      *date1, 
                       CONST OCIDate      *date2,
                       sword              *result );

Parameters

err (IN/OUT)

The OCI error handle. If there is an error, it is recorded in err and this function returns OCI_ERROR. Obtain diagnostic information by calling OCIErrorGet().

date1, date2 (IN)

Dates to be compared.

result (OUT)

Comparison result:

Comparison result Output in result parameter

date1 < date2

-1

date1 = date2

0

date1 > date2

1

Comments

This function returns and error if an invalid date is passed to it.
