1.4 Solaris Font Package for Java Requirement

You may need different character settings for different locales. For Solaris Font Packages for Java, you always need both SUNWilof and SUNWxwfnt packages for all locales. You may need additional font packages depending on your locale. For detailed list of Solaris Font Packages, refer to

1.6 Licensing Information

This section contains additional licensing information for the following:

1.6.1 Oracle9iAS Metadata Repository

Use of the metadata repository requires a database license. An Oracle9i Enterprise Edition license is required to support the following:

Use of the metadata repository to run Oracle9iAS Wireless
Use of the metadata repository to run Oracle9iAS Clickstream Intelligence
Use of the replication feature of Oracle Internet Directory

All other uses of the metadata repository for Oracle9iAS require an Oracle9i Standard Edition license.

1.6.2 Customer Database Licensing

An Oracle9i Enterprise Edition license is required to use a customer database for the following components:

Clickstream
Personalization
Wireless
Replication feature of Oracle Internet Directory

1.7 Deprecated Features

The following features have been officially deprecated in Oracle9i Application Server Release 2 (9.0.2):

Oracle9iAS Database Cache
Enterprise Java Engine
IIS Plugin
mod_ssl based on openssl. This has been replaced by mod_ossl.
Oracle9iAS Email Server is no longer a stand-alone product. It is now part of Oracle9iAS Unified Messaging.
